Courtallam Falls

    Courtallam Falls, often referred to as the "Spa of South India," is located in the Western Ghats of Tamil Nadu. Renowned for its therapeutic properties, the falls are a popular destination for both tourists and locals. The water from the falls is believed to have medicinal qualities, enriched with minerals from the herbal plants in the surrounding forests. Courtallam is home to nine waterfalls, each offering a unique experience.

The main falls, Peraruvi, cascades from a height of about 60 meters and is a major attraction. Other notable falls include Chitraruvi (Small Falls), Shenbagadevi Falls, and Five Falls, where the water splits into five separate streams. The lush greenery and serene environment make it an ideal spot for relaxation and rejuvenation. Besides its natural beauty, Courtallam is also famous for its health resorts and wellness centers, which offer traditional Ayurvedic treatments.
