Where do treks and tours depart from?
All our weekend treks and tours depart from Bangalore. We provide multiple pickup points across the city including Majestic, Marathahalli, Hebbal, Banashankari, Mysore Road and more — chosen at the time of booking.
Are these treks suitable for beginners?
Yes — most of our weekend treks are graded Easy or Easy-to-Moderate and are beginner-friendly. Each trek page lists the difficulty level, distance and altitude. Our certified trek leaders brief and pace the group so first-time trekkers feel safe and supported.
What is included in the trek price?
Trek prices include round-trip transport from Bangalore, all stays during the trek, meals as per the itinerary, certified trek leader, all permits and entry fees, and basic first-aid support. Personal expenses, insurance and optional activities are not included.
How are bookings and cancellations handled?
You can reserve a spot with a small advance payment online. The remaining balance is collected closer to the departure date. Cancellation rules are listed on each trek's policy section — refunds depend on how many days before departure you cancel.
Do you offer private group or customised tours?
Yes. You can book any of our trips as a private group with a customised itinerary, exclusive dates and your choice of stays. Use the 'Send Enquiry' or WhatsApp button on any trek/tour page to start a private booking.
How safe are Backpackers United treks?
Every trek is led by trained, first-aid certified guides who know the trails. We cap batch sizes at around 20 people, carry first-aid kits and emergency contacts, and follow strict 'Leave No Trace' protocols. We have safely run 50,000+ trips since 2017.
