Mathur Aqueduct

    The Mathur Aqueduct, located in the town of Mathur in Tamil Nadu, is an impressive engineering marvel built during the 19th century. Constructed under the leadership of the Travancore King, Maharaja Moolam Thirunal, the aqueduct was designed to carry water across the Pahrali River to irrigate the arid lands of the region. Stretching approximately 2.3 kilometers, it is one of the longest and highest aqueducts in Asia, standing about 34 meters above the river.
