Overview

The Abberivation - CSMT! Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus officially known as Victoria Terminus is an iconic railway station and UNESCO World Heritage located at the center of Mumbai. Apart from making this a historical transport hub, it is also the best example for showcasing Victorian Gothic Revival architecture with a combination of traditional Indian architecture. This was built in 1887 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee by the British architects Frederick and William Stevens. The style included ornate domes, pointed arches, and intricate stone carvings along with a blend of turrets, spires, and stained glass windows which gives a fine-tuned British Chrunch fashion. The station’s interior is not comprised - it is equally built with captivating and high vaulted ceilings intricate title work and grand steps.

CSMT is considered to be the busiest railway station in India which connects every corner of Maharashtra - Suburban and beyond connecting other states as well. This place has also become the cultural and filming location for Bollywood films. Most of the time this place is crowded which shows the vibrant and busy life of people in Mumbai, with this comes the maintenance of this place. Usually, people litter public places but don’t take responsibility for keeping them clean. Many initiatives are taken to preserve and maintain cleanliness but it all starts with us. Be responsible and Don’t litter any place.
