    Goregaon Film City is the most famous film studio complex located in the suburb of Goregaon, Mumbai. It is officially called Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari established in 1977 covering 520 acres making it one of the largest film production facilities in India after the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The official name was given after Dadashaheb Phalke, the father of Indian cinema, this place serves as a major hub of Bollywood and Marathi cinema. This film city consists of various indoor and outdoor sets and locations that are suitable for designing a wide range of film genres. It is equipped with art facilities that include sound stages, a recording room, room for edits, TV shows, commercials, and regional films. Construction sets that include all the arts from rural to urban escape is such a task but here all these are planned and incorporated effortlessly.

This place is known as the birthplace of numerous iconic Bollywood films and serials which were shot in the Black and white era. Sometimes or annually there are guided tours into this film city for the public to understand the work behind the films. Visitors can see love shooting, meet actors, and film progress which makes it popular among the people and considers it to be the major attraction in Mumbai.
