The Sanctuary of Truth

    The Sanctuary of Truth, located in Pattaya, Thailand, is a stunning wooden temple that exemplifies traditional Thai workmanship and spiritual philosophy. This remarkable tower, built completely of teak wood without the use of nails, serves as both a religious monument and a cultural treasure.

The Sanctuary of Truth, located on the shore of Rachvate Cape, was developed by Thai businessman Lek Viriyaphant in 1981. His objective was to design a structure that embodied traditional Thai architecture while also reflecting the concept of Eastern religion, wisdom, and art. The temple is created in the manner of a traditional Thai pagoda, rising 105 metres tall and encompassing more than two acres.

Every inch of the sanctuary is covered in elaborate carvings and sculptures depicting scenes from Hindu and Buddhist mythology, as well as images of heavenly beings, animals, and allegorical characters. These sculptures represent the world and human progress, depicting the eternal conflict between good and evil.
