Overview

A well-liked hilltop attraction in Phuket, Monkey Hill—also referred to as Khao Toh Sae—offers expansive views over the island and its surrounds. It is known for its resident troop of macaques that walk freely around the region; thus the name "Monkey Hill." It is located close to Phuket Town.

Guests have two options for getting to the summit: driving or ascending the more than 200-step stairway that snakes through verdant vegetation and offers plenty of chances to spot the entertaining monkeys along the route. A observation platform at the summit provides amazing views over Phuket Town, the Andaman Sea, and neighbouring islands.

In addition to its natural beauty and animals, Monkey Hill is home to Radar Hill, one of Phuket's most well-known communication towers, which enhances the area's attraction for both history and modernity. Monkey Hill is a peaceful haven where visitors may enjoy a leisurely walk, observe animals, or take breathtaking pictures. It also offers an opportunity to view Phuket's natural beauty from a different angle.
