    The Big Temple, also called Peruvudaiyar Kovil or Brihadeeswarar Temple, is among the Chola dynasty's most astounding architectural creations. Situated in Tamil Nadu's Thanjavur, this UNESCO World Heritage Site bears witness to the magnificence and creative ability of the Chola dynasty. Constructed between 1003 and 1010 AD by Raja Raja Chola I, the temple represents the pinnacle of South Indian temple design.
