Overview

Pilgrimage tour

Take a fascinating tour of Nepal's holy places with the 6D/5N Lumbini Pilgrimage Tour and set off on a spiritual and cultural adventure. Your journey starts in Kathmandu, the energetic city rich in culture and history. Begin by losing yourself in the spiritual aura of Swayambhunath, often referred to as the Monkey Temple, where prayer flags and historic stupas billow in the wind. Seeing the revered Pashupatinath Temple and the imposing Boudhanath Stupa provides a meaningful introduction to Nepal's rich spiritual legacy. Visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, after taking in Kathmandu's ethereal aura. You will experience a profound sense of connection to the past as you stroll through Lumbini's hallowed gardens. Explore the Ashoka Pillar, which Emperor Ashoka constructed to honour his visit to this sacred site, and pay homage to the Maya Devi Temple, which commemorates the precise location where Buddha was born. Lumbini is an extremely spiritual place because of its calm environment, which is broken up by the soft chanting of the monks.

Proceed to Tilaurakot, the erstwhile capital of Kapilavastu, where Prince Siddhartha was raised, before setting off on his enlightenment trip. Imagine the life of the young prince who would one day become the Buddha as you stroll around the old palace's remains. This lesser-known location provides a peaceful haven and a more profound understanding of the Buddha's early life. When you return to Kathmandu, spend some time exploring the lively streets and busy markets, where modernism coexists peacefully with tradition. Visit Durbar Square, a centre of culture and history, and consider dining locally or shopping for unique handicrafts.

This journey provides a profound and meaningful connection to the life of Buddha and the spiritual core of Nepal by offering a distinctive fusion of spirituality, history, and culture. This trip guarantees to leave you with priceless memories, regardless of whether you're a devoted pilgrim or just looking for a calm and instructive experience.
