The Thrissur-Athirapally-Valparai Tour is an engaging tour that combines culture, nature, and adventure, providing the ideal retreat to Kerala's lush vegetation and Tamil Nadu's tranquil hill stations. Start your journey at Thrissur, Kerala's cultural capital. Explore the historic Vadakkunnathan Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its beautiful architecture and spiritual importance. Stroll around the historic Swaraj Round, a key landmark filled with temples, shops, and traditional cafes. Thrissur's rich history and cultural events, such as Thrissur Pooram, provide a glimpse of Kerala's colourful customs.

Next, see the breathtaking Athirapally Waterfalls, also known as the "Niagara of India." Surrounded by lush woodlands, this 80-foot-high waterfall is breathtaking, especially during the monsoon season when the water gushes fiercely. Spend the day admiring the scenery, exploring neighbouring trails, and seeing animals. The falls are a renowned filming site, having appeared in Bollywood films, which adds to their natural attractiveness. On Day 3, take a picturesque drive from Athirapally to Valparai, a hill station in Tamil Nadu's Anaimalai Hills. The ride is interspersed by tea plantations, deep woods, and the odd glimpse of animals like elephants. Valparai's nice temperature, rich surroundings, and tranquil environment make it an ideal destination for relaxation.

Spend the day in Valparai visiting stunning overlooks such as the Nallamudi Viewpoint, where you can take in the panoramic views of the valley below. Visit the Sholayar Dam, one of Asia's largest reservoirs, and the Aliyar Dam, which are both surrounded by natural beauty. For nature enthusiasts, a visit to the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary is a must, with possibilities to see bison, leopards, and rare birds. Return to Thrissur to reflect on the fantastic combination of cultural exploration and outdoor adventure.

This 5-day trip strikes an ideal blend of rest, sightseeing, and adventure.
