A majestic abode situated amidst the picturesque Western Ghats of Karnataka, Sakleshpur is every trekker's paradise and Ettina Bhuja gets noted for its rocky terrains against a scenic backdrop. This is always an exciting as well as scenic trek, hike through dense forests echoing with the sounds of chiming birds and see wildlife on the way. The shape of the peak is said to resemble an ox's shoulder in kannada, giving it its name and making it a very interesting spot. Kurinjal Peak, which is located in the midst of the Western Ghats near Kudremukh National Park based out of Karnataka has for long stood as an excellent example to a trekker's paradise. Lying at a height of around 1,950 metres above mean sea level; this is the prized destination for avid hikers who love trekking through dense tropical forests that are brimming with flora and fauna. This hill is around 900 metre high and has been named after the Pandavas as the epic Mahabharata says that they stayed here during their exile.
