Overview

A striking example of Rajput military construction may be seen in the Rajsamand area of Rajasthan, India, at Kumbhalgarh Fort. Constructed by Rana Kumbha in the fifteenth century, the fort is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is most known for its spectacular walls, spanning more than 36 km, which make it the world's second-longest continuous wall after the Great Wall of China. The fort, which is perched atop the Aravalli Range and provides stunning vistas, is evidence of Rajasthan's rich history and culture.
