    Situated on Lake Pichola in Udaipur, Rajasthan, Jagmandir Island Palace is a remarkable representation of Rajput architecture and a symbol of the area's abundant historical and cultural legacy. The palace, which was constructed by the Maharanas of Mewar, is known as the "Lake Garden Palace" because of its magnificent gardens and picturesque surroundings. Maharana Amar Singh started building Jagmandir in 1551, and Maharana Jagat Singh I, the man who gave the palace its name, finished it in 1652.
