Edakkal caves, situated in Wayanad, Kerala is an astonishing archeological site that truely narrates Kerala’s long history and one of its civilizations. The name ‘Edakkal’ means a stone that fits between two rocks and the naming probably refers to the large rock wedged between two other rocks making up the cave’s roof.
