The following detailed itinerary provides a day-by-day breakdown of your exciting Spiti Winter Expedition. From your arrival to the moment you return back home, we've outlined your activities and experiences to make the most of your tour. Let's dive into the specifics.
Day 1Delhi to Shimla

Upon arrival at Delhi, you will be picked up by a representative of Backpackers United
You will be departing from Delhi to Shimla in a TT (7-hour journey approx).
Once you arrive in Shimla, Check-in at the Stay and have dinner.
Retire for the night with an overnight Stay in Shimla.

In the morning, after breakfast, Complete check out formalities
Your journey to Sangla should take around 7-8 hours by road, depending on the road conditions.
The road winds through lush green valleys, dense forests, and glistening rivers, providing a visual feast to the eyes.
Upon arrival at Sangla, check in at the Stay
In the evening you can leisurely explore the local market.
Have dinner and spend the night at the accommodation.

Have Breakfast and Continue your journey from Sangla to Kalpa with stops for sightseeing along the way.
Kamru Fort is one of the oldest forts in Himachal Pradesh and holds cultural and historical significance. The fort is situated at an altitude of 2,760 meters (9,051 feet) above sea level.
Chitkul Village It is known for being the last inhabited village near the Indo-China border and is often referred to as the "last village of India", the village is known for its stunning natural beauty, with the Baspa River flowing through it and snow-capped mountains forming a breathtaking backdrop.
Sangla, situated beside the Baspa River, offers an ideal environment for various adventure activities.
In Kalpa, embrace the picturesque setting against the stunning Kinner Kailash mountain range.
Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay in Kalpa.

Begin your day with Breakfast to fuel up for the adventures ahead.
Leave Nako Village and proceed towards Kaza.
En route, visit the Tabo Trans-Himalayan region which is famous for its cultural and historical significance.
Dhankar Monastery is perched atop a rocky cliff, The monastery offers panoramic views of the Spiti Valley and is known for its ancient murals, Thangka paintings, and a statue of Vairocana (Dhayan Buddha).
In the evening, explore the Kaza market before we return to the Stay.
Have dinner and stay comfortably overnight in Kaza.

Visit Ki Monastery, located 12 km from Kaza, in the morning.
This ancient Gompa, with historic roots, boasts valuable Tangkhas and offers a panoramic view of the region.
Later, journey 9 kilometers further to the small Gompa in Kibber, one of the highest inhabited villages at 4205 meters.
Return and have Dinner before you Spend the night at the Stay.

Chandertal Lake, also known as the Moon Lake, is Surrounded by majestic mountains, this crescent-shaped lake is situated at an elevation of about 4,300 meters (14,100 feet)
Travel through Kunzum La Pass which is at a staggering height of 4,590 meters (15,060 feet), It is known for its spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and is a gateway to the Spiti Valley
Arrive at Chandertal by the evening.
Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the Chandertal Camp.

Wake up, have breakfast, and depart to Manali.
Pass through Rohtang Pass located in the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas approximately 3,978 meters (13,051 feet), It is also a vital route for the movement of goods and people between the lush Kullu Valley and the arid landscapes of Lahaul and Spiti.
Stop at Gulaba on the way, It is a popular pitstop for tourists traveling to Rohtang Pass, known for its stunning landscapes and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Arrive in Manali by evening.
Enjoy dinner, and spend a comfortable overnight stay.
