It is said that Baba Payam Uddin gave up all his belongings to serve the common people. It is also said that he lived and meditated at this very shrine, which is now a tomb for his disciples. The Urs or death anniversary of Baba Reshi is celebrated every year and people from all over the country visit the shrine to commemorate the occasion.

The shrine is a famous tourist attraction and attracts visitors throughout the year for its religious and historical significance.
