The following detailed itinerary provides a day-by-day breakdown of your exciting Kareri Lake trek. From your arrival to the moment you return home, we've outlined your activities and experiences to make the most of your trek. Let's dive into the specifics.
Day 1

Gather at the Backpackers United campsite in Dharamkot, McLeod ganj, to begin the trip. Begin the journey from the campsite to Kareri village; transportation is not included in the package.
Your journey to the Kareri village will begin once you arrive in Dharamkot and meet the rest of the party.
After reaching Kareri village, you will begin your hike to Kareri Lake.
The trail gradually ascends from level to mountainous terrain as you walk alongside the Kareri Nullah Stream and over multiple bridges. Enjoy the ideal elliptical glacial lake, surrounded by subtropical trees and alpine grasslands, while admiring nature's splendour.
Enjoy the beauty of Kareri Lake and spend time there. After taking in the magnificent vistas that the trek provides, return to your tent.
Spend the night at a campground near the lake and unwind after dinner.
Day 2

On day two, after a substantial meal, leave early in the morning. Prepare to descend back to Kareri village. Follow the same path back down.
The descent will take less time than the ascent. Once you arrive in Kareri village, vehicles will be waiting to transport you back to McLeodganj.
Again, transportation costs are not included in the package, so hikers must endure them on their own. When you get to McLeodganj, your journey will be complete.
