You can see a 22 meter high sitting Buddha Statue which is also visible from the Villa stay. There is also a big lamp which will be lit during ceremonies. The Monastery also has a cafe on its terrace overlooking the amazing views of the mountains. This once used to be a royal residence.
There is a museum having a collection of Thangkas, Royal Crowns, dresses, coins, antique ritual objects, ceremonial sword, precious stones and traditional head dresses worn by Ladakhi women. This monastery is famous for its big library. The library has a complete set of the Kandshur, the 108 volumes of the Buddha’s teachings.
