Day 1

Pick-Up Option: Arrange for pick-up from NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport to Manebhanjan, the basecamp, on day 1. Costs are shared among trekkers and paid on-site.
Base Camp at Manebhanjan: Your trek begins at Manebhanjan, accessible only by road.
Railway Connectivity: The closest railway station is New Jalpaiguri, well-linked to major cities, followed by a 3-4 hour drive (approx. 100 km) to reach Manebhanjan.
Airport Proximity: Bagdogra Airport, the nearest airport, is 30 km from Siliguri. From Siliguri, a quick 15-minute journey gets you to New Jalpaiguri.
Scenic Drive: Enjoy a picturesque drive through mountain roads, tea estates, and villages along the India-Nepal border.
Tranquil Village Setting: Manebhanjan, a serene village in West Bengal, offers a peaceful atmosphere, marking the start of the Sandakphu trek.
Day2

Start from Manebhanjan: Begin your 11 km trek from Manebhanjan to Tumling, taking around 6-7 hours.
Elevation Gain: Reach Tumling, situated at 9,700 feet above sea level.
Trek Phases: Experience a steep 1.5-hour climb, followed by an hour of mixed ascent and descent, and then a 3-hour journey on level paths with gentle climbs.
Water Points: Refresh at three water points – Chittrey, Lamyadhura, and Meghma, each about 1.5 hours apart.
Local Accommodations: Encounter around 10-12 Nepali families offering teahouse stays, along with private huts and lodges for trekkers.
Singalila National Park Signboard: Spot the signboard for Singalila National Park, and an alternate path leading to Tonglu, another high mountain settlement.
Crossing Borders: At Tumling, seamlessly cross the India-Nepal border with minimal restrictions, open to both Indian and foreign travelers.

Refill Point: Use the open pond near the Forest Post at Sabargram/Mole to replenish water supplies.

Trail Details: The trek is one of the longest in Sandakphu but less tiring due to the downhill path.
Moderate Difficulty: Experience an initial descent, followed by gradual ascents up to Phalut, then level walks until Gorkhey, ending with a steep descent in the final hour.

Elevation of Sepi: Sepi is situated at an elevation of 6,230 feet above sea level.

Water Refill at Ramam: Refill your water bottles an hour into the trek at Ramam, and consider taking a break at the nearby teahouse.
Bamboo Forests Encounter: Traverse through bamboo forests, home to Red Pandas and Bears.
Crossing Sri River: After crossing the tranquil Sri river, arrive at Sepi.
Drive to New Jalpaiguri: Post-trek, embark on a 5-hour drive covering approximately 140 kilometers to New Jalpaiguri, reaching by evening.
